39. Troyers Marketplace, Johnstown

There is something about the Amish and Mennonite cultures that just stand for quality and good food. So I was excited when I recently discovered Troyers Marketplace in Johnstown, Ohio.

The specialty market has a wide selection of various Walnut Creek products from dried fruits and canned goods to deli meats and everything thing in between. A post from July on their Facebook page highlights carrying Backroom Coffee Roasters cold-brew, which I am having a coffee-affair with right now.

The doughnuts are fresh and looked beautiful in the case and while I showed restraint on this day do know they are very good coming from Danville-based Rabers Bakery. They make their own pies and do have a small diner included with sandwiches, salads and soups. Based on the line it has to be pretty good.

Troyers Marketplace is located at 429 East Coshocton Street in Johnstown, Ohio. The store is open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Thursday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and closed on Sunday.
