65. Staas Brewing Company, Delaware



It may have been only seven years ago, but in brewing years that’s an eternity when Staas Brewing Company made its debut on the west-side of downtown historic Delaware, Ohio.

Staas is the “grandfather” to the entire beer movement that taken over much of the downtown restaurant scene. Restoration Brew Worx and many of its contemporaries may have never made their way here if it hadn’t been for the work of Donald and Liz Staas.

Staas Brewing Company was the first brewery to open in Delaware, Ohio, post prohibition in 2013.

The Staas family opened the first brewery in Delaware since Prohibition and continues to sell its small-batch ales from the same location since at the corner of Winter and Franklin Streets.
