Ronald McDonald Kicks off Ashley's Summer Reading Program

Ronald McDonald will join the staff of Ashley‘s Wornstaff Memorial Public Library to kick off its summer reading program on Monday, June 18, with the Dream Big READ sign-up party at 11 a.m.

The program will last six weeks with special events going on every Monday morning at 11 a.m., including:

Ashley Alumni Reunion on Saturday

Ashley Alumni Reunion will be held on Saturday, May 28, at Recreation Unlimted in rural Ashley, Ohio.

The 125th reunion is slated for those that attended, worked, or taught at Elm Valley, Ashley, Brown, or Buckeye Valley schools.

Registration will begin at 4:45 p.m. with a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. and visitors bring a dish and personal table service.

Special attention will be given to the 50th anniversary class of 1961 but all classes will be recognized.

Buckeye Valley High School received the state’s highest rating possible with an “excellent with distinction” in the 2009-2010 Ohio Department of Education report cards recently released.
