McDonald’s Changing Operators

Three Delaware McDonalds will have new operators come March 1.

The¬†Holowicki family purchased the properties from R&D … for an undisclosed amount. All three locations – South Sandusky Street, US 23 North, and on West Central Avenue – have undergone extensive renovation in the past year. Even to the point that the US 23 North location was torn down and completely rebuilt.

This is not the Holowickis first foray into the McDonalds market owning 20+ franchises from Easton to Dublin. An employee at the South Sandusky Street store was complimented the Holowicki family on how they run the business having worked for them in the past.

ARJ Landcapes new location on State Route 36 in Condit is the top commercial transaction this week. Lots of updates by new owner since this 2009 Delaware County Auditor photo was taken.

It was a slower week than normal with only 82 units changing hands in Delaware County, Ohio, this past week. However, the volume didn’t mean lower values with the average sale price staying above $300,000.

The majority of properties to transfer this week were single-family homes or land dedicated to single-family homes at 92% of the total sales, while condos accounted for 5% of the sales and commercial was 2%.

ARJ Landscapes purchased the property they’ve been using at 3752 Condit Road in rural Sunbury, Ohio, this week. The property, zoned as a car-lot, is being used as the landscape company’s home base. The company specializes in, according to its Web site, “after serving the greater Columbus Ohio Area for over 25 years specializing in patio pavers, fire pits, and more. We have evolved into the leader in Hardscape and Outdoor Living Environments, we have evolved into the leader in the landscaping industry.”

  • The highest-priced condominium to sell was for $380,000 at 7244 Slate Bend in Delaware, Ohio. However, the second condominium fetched only $228,000 on a property at 5430 Grand Crescent in Galena, Ohio.
  • The highest-priced commercial property was the sale of property zoned as a car lot at 3752 Condit Road in rural Sunbury, Ohio for $202,500. The Trenton Township property is 7.5 acres with a 960 square foot building and was financed by Richwood Banking Company.
  • The cheapest single-family home to sell as an arm’s length transaction was 191 Olentangy View Drive in Delaware for $138,000.
