And yes they had just opened a few weeks back, when I made my first trip into the store. Don’t judge me. All my “June Berries” strawberries didn’t survive the transplant last spring and this past winter. So I picked up some new plants to replace them.
Miller’s Country Gardens has numerous green houses set up to get their starts going so that you can enjoy the fruits – whether it be food or flowers – this summer. The hanging baskets were already showing their beautiful starts despite being a month or so from really hitting stride. Inside the sore they offer from fresh cookies and pies along with a wide-selection of Ohio-made products from jams and jellies to anything you can imagine being pickled. We also picked up some onion starts for great green onions this summer as well.
Be prepared to spend a $100, that seems to be the minimum I can get out of this place spending each time I go. I just need one more tomato plant, one more this or that to show off our house.
Miller’s Country Gardens is located at 2488 State Route 37 West in Delaware, Ohio. Spring hours are 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday.
