You get the hint. Was doing showings on a Sunday morning in Mt. Vernon and needed a pick-me-up coffee. So I slipped into Everlasting Cup not expecting the experience that would follow.
I was expecting a cup of coffee. Which I got a solid cup of coffee. Nothing special; but that wasn’t what wowed me.
I went with a breakfast sandwich special – egg and sausage sandwich on English muffin with a tator-tot like potato and coffee – and it was excellent. Definitely a fresh-cooked egg that I would have loved to had over-medium for the ooey goodness. But since I was driving it was scrambled. All were spot on.
The star of the show was the donuts that were freshly dipped in our favorite toppings. Olivia got a Lucky Charms donut and Gretchen the chocolate on chocolate. Both were very impressed with the flavor even BEFORE I told them it was only $1!
And reading the reviews, I’m going to have to try lunch sometime soon when I’m in Yellow Jacket country.
