16. Restoration Brew Worx, Delaware

It’s Saturday — shh, I didn’t quite get it done yesterday — and there is nothing better than enjoying a cold locally-brewed frosty beverage and a good meal or in Delaware, Ohio, we call that making a trip to Restoration Brew Worx.

I know many beer snobs that enjoy making a trip to Restoration for their solid selection of on-site produced brews. They have a dozen options from fruit beers and ciders to IPA and everything in between.

Having been sober for more than five years now, I have not had the honor to try Restorations wide selection of beers. But being a fat man, I know food. And the food is worth the visit all on its own.

Begin your meal with appetizers, the artichoke dip ($10) and pretzel bread ($8) are great but the gotta’ have piece for this fat man is the OMG Chorizo Tots ($10).

The pub features lots of options for a bar-food style but taken up a few notches dinner. Three burgers and two of them – Rodeo ($16) and Resto ($13) – are amazing. The Tripel Judgement Burger ($17) features Lindy beer-breaded deep-fried mac-n-cheese, pepper-jack, candied bacon, onion straws, house made Carolina slaw & Carolina sauce and was too many things going on for me compared to their other two burgers.

The wings ($11 for a pound) are exceptional and among the best in the area. The other sandwiches are all big favorites when we go out with friends. The Apple Salad is very good and the four-year-old loves the mini-corn dogs.

Restoration Brew Worx is open Tuesday – Thursday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday Noon – 7 p.m.; and closed on Monday. Restoration Brew Worx is located at 25 North Sandusky Street in historic Main Street Delaware, Ohio.
