I have to admit, I still struggle with getting high-end food out of a food truck. But, Scratch Italian Fare is doing its best to change my mind.
Scratch Italian Fare is a food truck that is stationed at the Food Truck Depot in Delaware, Ohio’s near east side at the old railroad warehouse on Potter Street.
The pasta is home made and the sauces were a great blend fo flavor without too much acid in the tomato sauce. Unfortunately, we ordered the daily pastas and when my phone died it took these images with it.
We had the pasta- it was similar to a spaghetti but was thicker – and alfredo sauce with mushrooms and crumbled pistachio nuts. The pasta was awesome and the flavor in the alfredo and mushrooms were awesome. The pistachios could have been left off for me as they didn’t really add too much other than color.
We got the same pasta with a marinara sauce and meatball. The sauce was good but I would ask for extra sauce next time to give a little more for dipping the meatball in. The meatball was really solid. You could tell it was homemade and definitely a winner.
Scratch Italian Fare is available at the Food Truck Depot located at 59 Potter Street, at the corner of East Central, in Delaware, Ohio. The restaurant is open Tuesday – Friday from 5 – 9 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and closed on Monday.
