As a “rule” 365: The Tour has focused on places located in Delaware and contiguous counties. But rules are meant to be broken and we all know I’m that crazy rule breaker …
So today, we head north along Route 4 to Bucyrus, Ohio, and possibly the best BBQ restaurant in Ohio at Old 30 BBQ.
The show for us usually starts with BBQ Tots ($10.49) with pulled pork, cheese, onions, sweet and spicy bbq sauce over Tater Tots. Yeah, no pictures allowed because it was that good. For the main course, I can go a lot of ways. Smoked Wings ($14.99), full-rack of ribs ($24.99), sampler platter of brisket, turkey, and pork ($16.49), or if I’m really the hungry the Q’King ($26.49) which has half-rack ribs, sliced brisket, pulled pork, sliced turkey and extra toast or cornbread.
Dessert is … what? Did you read the pile of food I just ate. I’ve never actually tried dessert from here. On Tuesday is the Burger special and the ONLY day you can order one of their half-dozen cheeseburger options.
In addition to its great food, Old 30 BBQ also features live music, which will kick-off on May 7 with Mike Risner and will continue throughout the summer!
COVID-19 warning for this location. They are very laissez faire regarding masks and we observed numerous patrons and servers without masks entering and exiting the establishment during our visit. To each their own, but if you are more concerned then I’d suggest delaying your visit for a few months.
