81. Implicit Bias in Police, Delaware

Delaware City Police Department is hosting national speaker Darryl L. Rivers for a virtual two-hour presentation, Implicit Bias and Your Community on Tuesday, March 23, from 6 – 8 p.m.

The discussion will center on bias and the need to realize it is more than a police department problem — it is a humanity problem.

Rivers, a national human behavior analyst, communication and leadership speaker, will lead the event. Rivers is Chief Executive Officer for the L.E.A.D. Company which train people how to lead, communicate, learn, and grow with other people. Pouring into the personnel that will pour into the organization.

“Under Darryl’s leadership our Public Education Unit became a model for other agencies,” wrote Peoria, Arizona, Police Chief Ray Miller on Rivers’ LinkedIn page. “Darryl was also instrumental in organizing one of the largest Citizen Police Academy classes for our department. Darryl has also conducted several leadership classes for the police department and other city employees. Theses classes were well organized, professional and very informative.”
