One of the most contest restaurant discussions I’ve had is over “who has the best Chinese food in town?”
Our primary choice is situated in a strip mall in Delaware, Ohio, in Shanghai restaurant. The restaurant has always been clean and the food fresh in the nearly two decades we’ve been getting food from them.
Due to Covid-19 protocols the restaurant is now carry-out only. However, they were primarily a take-out place before the pandemic anyhow.
Their General Tso with Vegetables is a family favorite — my mother-in-law orders it every time she is in town from Seneca County. My personal favorite is their Hot and Sour Soup and order Pepper Steak add mushrooms as my primary meal. The beef is usually very tender and has a great taste.
Shanghai is normally open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. During the pandemic temporary hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Shanghai is located at 829 Houk Road in the Westfield Shopping Center at Houk and State Route 37 in western Delaware, Ohio.
Unfortunately, due to being in Covid-19 protocol, I was unable to get out and take new photos.
