As the weather begins to warm up it feels great to enjoy a hibachi style dinner at Asahi Japanese Steakhouse in southern Delaware, Ohio.
Delaware’s only Japanese Steakhouse is currently only serving take-out but don’t let that dissuade you from giving it a try. We have had it several times during the pandemic and always been happy with the way the meal has been prepared. They are on doordash, however we chose to pick it up in person each time.
Pre-pandemic, the sushi bar was one of Gretchen and I’s favorite places to have lunch. They had a great lunch special that included three rolls, soup and salad for $12.95, if you only want two the price falls to $10.95.
On the hibachi, we are big fans of the shrimp, scallops and filet mignon steak. Spend the extra $4 to upgrade from the Teppan steak ($18.95) to the filet ($22.95), the quality of meat is noticeably better. The only thing we don’t suggest is the chicken as it tends to be rubbery and there are better options on the menu.
